“I’ve endured so many pains and Arteta hasn’t been fair enough with me”- Arsenal outcast Aaron Ramsdale gives a farewell interview as he revealed he’s ready to leave Arsenal this summer
Aaron Ramsdale has reportedly decided to leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old joined the Gunners from then Sheffield United for £30m plus add-ons in the summer of 2021, still under the reign of Mikel Arteta.
Ramsdale, who made his name at the Emirates as first choice goalkeeper, played all of Arsenal’s 38 Premier League games last season as they challenged Manchester City for the English crown.
Since his move from Bramall Lane at the start of the 2021-22 season, the Englishman has appeared in 88 games for the Gunners in all competitions.
According to Football Insider, Ramsdale has made a decision regarding his football future after the end of the current season.
The report claims that the England international wants to leave the North London club during the summer transfer window as his playing time is very limited this season.
Ramsdale believes he is at a crucial stage in his career when he should be playing regular first team football at the highest level.
Several clubs from the Premier League and Europe are reportedly keeping a close eye on the goalkeeper’s situation and are ready to make formal bids during the upcoming transfer window.
Since David Ray joined on loan from Brentford in the summer, Ramsdale has lost his role as Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper.
The four-time international has only started five Premier League games this season as Arteta’s side chased the title, keeping two clean sheets.
Ramsdale last played for the Gunners in the FA Cup third round against Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool, which the North Londoners lost 2-0.
The former Bournemouth goalkeeper has not played in the Premier League since the 1-0 win against Raya’s parent club Brentford on 25 November.
Ramsdale will be on the bench again in League One, so it is unlikely he will get any minutes on the pitch when the Gunners host Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United next Monday.
